Great videos. Great jigs. I watched the videos over and over and learned something new everytime.
Exceptionally detailed and methodical. Step-by-step directions for setting up blanks for turning.
As a learning tool, this was a good tool for me. As a DVD, it was in poor.
Very informative DVD especially for someone new to segmented bowl turning.
This is an excellent presentation from a very talented woodturner.
This video had some good info in it but the pace was way too slow. He over- explained things to death even if you were a beginner
Slow moving, but essential stuff to know in making a segmented bowl.
Good DVD. Dry, not entertaining, but good if you want to learn the subject.
Very well done. Curt gives many tips that will help the beginner avoid mistakes. I would recommend highly.

This DVD was excellent for the beginner, starting with setting up your disc sander with a sliding table. Techniques are shown that allow tolerances that only professionals can achieve. I could not wait to re-tune my machines with these new methods. They worked. I highly recommend this DVD to anyone wanting to achieve perfection.
When I watched this video I was constantly thinking how his techniques could improve my overall woodworking. i just couldn't believe that the whole video was on just the measurements required to turn segmented patterns. I can't wait to make my own version of his jigs. I am very glad I rented this video before I saw the second in the series - Segmented Patterns.
Information Value: 5/5
Entertaiment Value: 2/5 Sometimes downright boring.
DVD Value: Video, 3/5 Audio, 1/5 a very annoying audio hum throughout.
I'd recommend this DVD set for the information very highly. However, for any entertainment there are other turning DVDs I've enjoyed much more.
